Children Services.

Exposure to domestic violence can profoundly impact a child’s safety, development and future. One Safe Place offers comprehensive, coordinated services to help them heal and thrive.

Our goal is to break the generational cycle of violence by ensuring children exposed to domestic violence receive the support they need to build safe, healthy futures.

The Pathway to Hope & Safety for Children

Starting with your very first visit, our advocates work with you to understand the needs of your children. Children’s safety and well-being is a priority from the beginning. Our advocates will work with you to connect your children to the support they need.

Children meet with trauma-informed staff in a comfortable, age-appropriate environment designed to help them feel safe, calm, and in control.

From that moment, our focus is on healing—not labels or blame.

HOPE

Hope is not just possible. It is real.

More than 2,000 published, peer-reviewed studies have established that hope is the key to resiliency and overcoming trauma. That’s why all of our children’s programs are designed to create hope for a better tomorrow. Or as we say at Camp HOPE, to encourage children to believe in themselves, believe in others, and believe in their dreams.

Follow-Up Services

Growing Hope

Growing HOPE is a structured program that teaches self-regulation, self-compassion, boundaries and goal setting. This program is for children ages 7-17 and is provided year round. Growing Hope is four sessions and upon completion of this program, children are able to access counseling services.

Each session ends with a take-home connection activity to complete with a parent or caregiver, helping families apply new skills together outside of class.

Hope Connections

Formerly known as “Pathways Activities,” children and youth engage in positive, relationship-building experiences that replace fear with confidence.

Activities include team building, STEAM projects, volunteering, and healthy relationship workshops.

Camp HOPE TX

For many children, healing continues at Camp HOPE Texas, a week-long summer program that helps youth dream beyond trauma.

At camp, children gain confidence through outdoor adventure, peer bonding, and guided reflection—all built around one core belief: hope can be learned and practiced.

Long-Term Support

Healing is a journey, not a single step. Beyond initial programs, children and families can continue counseling and stay connected through HOPE Connections and Camp HOPE TX. Qualifying youth may also take advantage of Pathways to College — our scholarship program.

Together For You And Your Children

At One Safe Place, more than 25 partner agencies work together under one roof to support every step of the journey to safety, healing, and independence.
