Ft. Worth Domestic Abuse Resource | North Texas Domestic Abuse Center
We know that each case of domestic and family abuse in DFW is complicated, and there’s no one single solution for every instance. It’s that specified care that makes One Safe Place quite literally your one safe place for everything you might need.
Our specialists will guide you through a meaningful process to ensure your needs are met, wherever in a cycle of abuse you may find yourself:
1. CALL OR VISIT, WALK-INS ENCOURAGED!
Sometimes the hardest part of any situation is taking the first step.
We know how hard it is to begin the healing process in a situation of ongoing domestic conflict, and we’re ready to accept you with open arms as soon as you arrive or call us.
During our first meeting, we’ll discuss your present situation, and what options you’d like to explore.
Our licensed Fort Worth professionals are trained in many areas, chief among them: listening.
Since One Safe Place was founded in Ft. Worth in 2005, preventing domestic violence has been our sole focus. While it’s true that each case is unique, our professionals have guided many individuals and families toward stability, so they will have a good idea of how to address any issue you may face.
Our phone number is 817-916-4323, and our office is located at 1100 Hemphill St. in Fort Worth’s Near Southside, central to Fairmount, Magnolia, and TCU. We have an additional satellite office for those in Grapevine.
We can serve walk-ins from 8am to 6pm.
2. THE SHORT TERM SOLUTIONS
Whether you walk in or call us, our staff will have a series of near future forms of assistance at the ready.
We at One Safe Place know that whether you’re located in urban areas like the Stockyards or the Southside, suburban areas like Haltom City, Stop 6, Camp Bowie, or Westover Hills, or rural areas like Burleson, Aledo, Alliance, or further, domestic abuse can reach there and beyond.
So whether your needs are financial, regional, or material, our staff provides a network of support choices. This can look like anything including healthcare, food support, or law enforcement.
No matter what you may need, our goal is to improve your situation from the moment you pick up the phone or step foot in our office. Fort Worth is committed to ending family abuse, and our office includes a number of departments and partners that ensure success in that goal. Moreover, we keep your story confidential, and will share it with partners you approve of, so that you don’t have to tell it repeatedly.
3. THE LONG TERM SOLUTIONS
While short term solutions can make a great difference in the moment, we at One Safe Place realize the importance of ongoing support, and the danger that the end of support can cause. So, in follow-up appointments, calls, and more, One Safe Place provides a series of longer term solutions to domestic abuse.
In addition to ongoing financial, food, or child support, long term solutions at One Safe Place can take the form of victim advocacy, job skills training, housing assistance, counseling, and legal services.
Ending domestic abuse in Tarrant County means a committed support of long term solutions, and that’s what One Safe Place is here to provide.
