Family Abuse Prevention | Ft. Worth | Haltom City, Sansom Park, Kennedale
Many who suffer from domestic abuse may not know where to turn for help. OneSafePlace strives to simplify that process through the following steps:
1. CALL OR VISIT
Depending on your situation, it may be safer to call rather than visit us in person, or vice versa.
Our phone number is 817-916-4323 and our office is located at 1100 Hemphill St. in Fort Worth’s Historic Southside District, nearby Ryan Place, Park Hill, and the University District. Our office is easy to access for anyone across Fort Worth, especially those located in Como, Westover Hills, Camp Bowie, the Stockyards, and Downtown FW.
No appointments necessary! Walk-ins acceptable from 8am to 5pm.
During COVID-19, we ask that (if possible) you call first.
2. WE’LL LISTEN AND DISCUSS
As much as you’re willing to discuss your current situation, our licensed professionals will talk about your domestic violence situation, and perform a risk assessment based on the severity of your case.
Family abuse can take many forms, but our counselors have seen them all during their careers. OneSafePlace was founded in 2005 as an umbrella approach for multiple safe neighborhood and crime stopping agencies.
Whether you’re able to visit our offices or call us, we’re here to help.
3. SHORT TERM SOLUTIONS
Based on our collective assessment of violence risk to your and/or family members, OneSafePlace will help construct a short term list of solutions with actionable results, so that your family will be able to stabilize in the immediate future.
Our short term solutions include but are not limited to: childcare, legal support, healthcare, and law enforcement.
Even a day can make a difference in putting together an actionable response to domestic abuse, and OneSafePlace is here to help.
4. LONG TERM SOLUTIONS
At the same time that we consider short term solutions to your family situation, we’ll compute longer term approaches to relief for you and your loved ones.
Long term solutions for families across Tarrant County come in many forms, whether that may be counseling, victim advocacy, or job skills training. No matter what your current situation may be, our goal is to find solutions that will last.
